Art Education Learning Networks: Being an active member of my state and national organization has helped me meet like-minded educators.

Several years ago my work bestie/colleague/classroom neighbor and I joined our state and national art education associations… I really enjoyed connecting with like-minded individuals from around the state and nation in person and via the forums and groups within these professional organizations.

Technology and 21st Century Learning Networks: The following learning networks helped me connect to other educators and gather resources as I entered the new world of teaching Digital Communications.

Resources: Teachers always need more resources to gather ideas, find innovative lessons and stay current. These are a few of my favorite for IB, Art and Technology.

I currently teach Art 1 and Digital Communications for the 21st Century at IDEA College Preparatory North Mission. This is my 9th year teaching with a free public charter network and I have worked with grades 6-12.  Before teaching, I worked as a graphic designer and museum educator.

I am the proud/busy mother of 3 sons and a graduate student in the Digital Leading and Learning program at Lamar University.
